Terms of Service

Effective on publication (draft under review)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Snug Cards at snug.cards and its related features (the “Service”), operated by ⟦registered legal entity name⟧ (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & age

The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Provide accurate information and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use. One person may hold one account; do not share credentials or impersonate others.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download the catalog, card data, prices, or any other part of the Service by automated means, or attempt to reconstruct our database. The catalog is a proprietary asset (see Section 7).
  • Circumvent rate limits, quotas, authentication, or any technical protection measure.
  • Upload or generate content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, or violates another’s rights.
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to build a competing dataset or product.

4. Price information — not financial advice

Prices shown on Snug Cards are third-party estimates provided for informational reference only. They are NOT an appraisal, an offer to buy or sell, or financial, investment, or valuation advice. Trading-card values are volatile and vary by condition, grade, edition, and marketplace. Estimates may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for any decision you make in reliance on them, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we accept no liability for such reliance. Always verify independently before buying, selling, insuring, or valuing any item.

5. Trademarks & third-party content

Snug Cards is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Wizards of the Coast, or any other rights holder. Card names, images, set names, and related trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only. If you are a rights holder and believe content should be removed, contact us (Section 14).

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the binders, prompts, lists, notes, and profile content you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service — including, for binders you choose to make public or share, displaying them to others and on the Discover surface. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and the compiled catalog and metadata (including our matching, enrichment, and pricing presentation) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for Your Content and third-party marks, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. No other rights are granted.

8. Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service (for example, AI generation, email delivery, and edge infrastructure). Their handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service, card data, or prices will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snug Cards and ⟦registered legal entity name⟧ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your account and associated personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before they take effect. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of ⟦US state⟧, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law grants you rights in your place of residence.

14. Contact
